A strange thing to hear, isn't it? When most of us think about giving, our concept involves taking an object from our storehouse of "physical" things and giving that object away - thus, rendering our storehouse one object less than it was prior to the giving.
What if I told you that concept is all wrong?
As Spiritual beings, we know that the physical world is an extension of the Spiritual World, and although it seems to be solid and "real," it is actually... not.
The physical world is actually an array of vibrations that we are able to interact with because our five physical senses are tuned to interpret specific vibrational frequencies. We generally look at the world like, "I'm touching this table," but choosing to see it more like, "I am able to perceive this table because the vibrational mass that I know as my hand is vibrationally resonant with the vibrational mass that I know as this table," would actually be more realistic.
If that sent your brain on a trip to Confusionville, don't worry, I'm about to explain.
So... physical objects are not "physical" at all - not in the traditionally understood sense, anyway. They're vibrational. Of course, vibrations are physical as well, but we usually don't think of them in the same sense in which we think of objects.
Since the physical world is really the Vibrational World, or the Spiritual World, in order for us to truly understand it, we must understand the principles that govern the Spiritual World.
The classic occult book, "The Kybalion" is the go to source to understanding Spiritual Law. It details profound ancient concepts that mystics and sages throughout the ages have ascribed to. These concepts are known as the Seven Hermetic Principles. We won't go into great detail on all of these in this post, but we will touch on the most relevant of them in an effort to share a new way to perceive the concept of giving.
The Hermetic Principle of Vibration says that "Everything moves, everything vibrates." This Principle describes the foundation of the contemporary Spiritual phenomenon known as the Law of Attraction, which says that like vibrations attract like vibrations. In fact, they are one in the same.
When we understand that vibration is the essence of the physical world then we accept that physical object must be subject to these Spiritual Laws.
Physical objects are not the only vibrate. Our thoughts and emotional states are also quantifiable as vibrational frequencies.
What that means is that our thoughts and emotions align us with life experiences that match their frequency.
Anyone who's seen "The Secret" understands this concept. In that movie, they explain the process of visualization as a way to manifest desired material objects into one's life. To visualize, you hold the idea of the thing you want in your mind for an extended period of time whilst also mustering the feeling that would be present when you actually experience owning that thing. Many who use visualization have incredible examples of manifestations that came as a result.
This puts the concept of the storehouse into a different perspective.
Our true storehouse isn't what we own, it's our vibrational state, or, to put in layman's terms, it's what we think and how we feel.
If I feel abundant regularly, my vibrational state is one of abundance and it's likely that there will be abundance in most areas of my life. Likewise if I feel happy often, I have a vibrational state of happiness and the situations I encounter will naturally add to my happiness.
When we give from the heart, we activate a vibration of abundance that says, "I have enough to give this." That vibration attracts life situations that align with its basic concept, ensuring that we always have enough supply to allow for our giving.
The truth is that when we give, we increase our vibrational supply which in turn becomes our physical supply.
Giving literally increases our supply.
In a world where reality is believed to be fixed and limited, the idea of giving freely can cause feelings of fear and scarcity. With some mindful practice, it won't take long to see that the connection between thoughts and emotional states and our physical reality and life situations.
As Spiritual Beings, it's our destiny to overcome ALL of the limitations of the physical world.
As we give freely and lovingly, we free ourselves from limiting and self-harming beliefs and take a stand for our Divine nature as beings that are created whole, perfect and complete in Spirit.
Do any and everything to weaken your belief in lack and limitation. Immerse yourself in your natural state of abundance and allow your mind to reconnect to Divine mind.
Live in love, happiness and abundance.
